Clay, congratulations on the latest addition to your family! It sounds like you have your hands full and it all under control at the same time. My fourth finished kindergarten this year and my oldest survived 6th Grade. I swear it was just yesterday I was sitting in Mr. Days class being harrassed by Milton and trying desperately to fit in. (which I never did but that is ok) I can not believe how fast time is flying. My girls are still dancing and my oldest is still playing hockey and my youngest is still making me laugh. They are all doing well in school (thank goodness) and are doing well socially (even better, makes life easier). I miss the baby stage Clay so enjoy it! For those of you who grew up with me (since I stayed in one place from Kindergarten on til graduation) I wanted to let you know that my daddy is very ill and we are not sure how much time he has left. More of you knew my mom, and she still talks about so many of you. If I get back there this Summer, I would love to visit with anyone who is still around! OH, and Dennis, congratulations on all the exciting stuff in your life. I love checking in and seeing how y'all are doing on here! Take care everyone!

Hey guys ... my partner and I just adopted a beautiful and, thanks God, healthy baby boy (we already have two from his former marriage) from Russia. We had a great celebration for his bris at our synagogue. We had to do a conversion for the baby because we can't be sure his mother was Jewish. His Hebrew name is Chaim, which was my grandfather's name and means "life." This makes 3 beautiful kids. Our oldest boy is an honour student and our daughter just started first grade. Now I'm home with the baby and my husband is working on new communications technology for Apple computers (working on the new I-phone but we're not allowed to know what it's going to be called). I'm up to my elbows in diapers and frozen breast milk but life is SWEET. My sweetheart wanted to know if I needed to hire a nanny but NO WAY!!! I am ALL about my kids and would be SO jealous if someone else was taking care of them even for five minutes. Be well, Clay (Keck) Rosenberg

Where's all the cool people? Where's all the punk rockers and the surfers of 86? What ever happened to Nip Drivers? I live in NJ now and have two children but it really would be awesome to talk to someone that wasn't a spartan geek. I remember ditching class to go to the beach and getting kicked out of school and transfered to Torrance High because I had a mohawk. Those were the good old days. Somebody holler back!

Oh my gosh it feel like Spring finally! I think I get one week of nice weather before it gets sinfully hot here, but I am loving it! Happy New Year to all of you...survived the Holiday Family visits (just barely) and am now in the middle of Hockey Playoffs (my son, not me...) and Dance Competition Season, (again my girls, not me)...but at least we are not freezing to death and my animals are all enjoying the sun! Hope everyone is having a great year so far!

Happy New Year!! Susan, I would love to see pictures of you and your kids!! If you send me some, I can put them up on the SHS86 picture page. We have had a busy holiday here in Vegas!! We were hoping for some snow. Snow is so rare here that it is always so much fun when it happens. We had lots of family out for Christmas and New Years. Byon's sister, Karen and dh, Matt(Williams) came out stayed with us for about a week for New Years. For a project we were all building bridges with popsicle sticks and Byon and Matt were working together on their bridge. Matt jokingly said "If the class of 86 could only see us now." So I had to take a picture and post a link here... http://www.n6bg.com/blog/?user=garrabrant&photo_id=19185 I would still love for you all to come out and visit sometime!

Happy New Year Everyone! Of course their is a Santa Claus! He bought me a Chicago Bears and a USC Trojans jersey for Christmas. My husband Steve who is from Michigan was not happy when I danced in my jersey during the Rose Bowl. I got the jersey, because it is the same as my son's varsity jery and I can wear it to his games. LOL. Winter has taken a vacation this year. It has been in the 40s and 50s in Chicago. I think Jodi got my winter weather. Keep dry down there Jo. Hey Shloma, what's the title on Joan's book and your book so I can look for them in the bookstore?
From: Clay (Shloma) Keck (86) on 2006-12-30 17:09:36 [94]
Joan is the one with the book. Martha is the one with all the success as a stand up comic. My books will be coming out, God willing, this summer. Don't worry, I'll be over here bragging like a maniac when they're about to hit the shelves. I was supposed to be interviewed on camera for a documentary on the Discovery Channel, but I had to stay in Michigan for some medical stuff ... BUMMER. Oh well, I guess the universe has it's reasons. I probably would have been on camera with a booger hanging out of my nose or something, LOL.

Can anyone see what that thing is in the post below Jodi's? It just keeps telling me to download a plugin, but not which one... drat!

From: Jodi Murphy (1986) on 2006-12-21 10:30:10 [93]
OK is it Martha or Joan with the book? They were both always so smart and clever, I am so excited to hear that they are doing well. And Clay, let me know when your books are published...I really would be interested in reading them...OK gotta get back to the never ending holiday preparations....I swear sometimes I think my husband believes Santa really does come...

Hey guys, I just saw Martha Kelly on Premium Blend on Comedy Central. She was a total riot. I saw her a while back on the Late Show with Craig Ferguson and she totally split my sides. I talk to her sister Joan quite often and just bought her book, which is amazing. My own books are coming out this year. I hit the jackpot with my publisher (Harper Collins), so that is very cool, and they are going to be coming out in hardcover first, which is going to be awesome.
From: Susan (White) Rademacher (1986) on 2006-11-30 22:53:01 [90]
Hi Ken. I finally got her to hang it up in 2004 and move here to Chicago. Now she helps me get my kids to all of thier activities while I take my turn as a high school history teacher. She's bored so she might start subbing at some of the local high schools. She's 72 and still going strong. That is if we don't all get burried by the blizzard headed our way tonight.
